How did Laura Ingalls Wilder Change the Perception of the American Frontier?

Laura Ingalls Wilder, had a significant impact on the perception of what the American Frontier was like during the pioneering era. Her books are amongst the most popular and enduring works of frontier life and have had a significant impact on American literature and culture.

Wilder’s childhood experiences growing up on the American frontier, turning her original Pioneer Girl manuscript and the eventual Little House book series has been widely read and loved by generations of children and adults. The series provides a unique and detailed portrayal of life on the American frontier in the late 19th century, and has helped to shape popular perceptions of this historical period.
