Horehound Candy from On the Banks of Plum Creek

On On the Banks of Plum Creek, Pa brought Laura and Mary candy as a special treat from town, and the stick candy was unlike anything Laura and Mary had ever had before.  Pa called it horehound candy.  Today, horehound candy is considered an old fashion style candy and can be hard to find.
