Seed Wheat for Grinding Like in The Long Winter

Laura and her family took turns grinding wheat in order to make a coarse kind of bread in The Long Winter.  The seed wheat that the Ingalls ground during that hard winter is known today as winter wheat berries, and is quite different from what people expect when they think of the type of wheat they ground.

Use this with a coffee grinder to make bread like the Ingalls and other residents of De Smet did.
