Independence, Kansas Visitor Information for Little House Fans

Independence, Kansas, is a significant location in the Little House on the Prairie series, as it is where the Ingalls family moved to and where Pa built the eponymous “Little House on the Prairie.” This setting, featured in the book of the same name, is also where Carrie Ingalls was born, further cementing the family’s connection to the area.
