West from Home: Letters of Laura Ingalls Wilder, San Francisco, 1915
When Laura traveled to San Francisco in 1915 during the World’s Fair, to visit her daughter Rose. West From Home contains the series of descriptive letters Laura wrote home to Almanzo, who was busy tending Rocky Ridge Farm in Mansfield, Missouri.
While not officially part of the Little House series of books, many readers of the series read both On the Way Home and West From Home to continue the story of Laura and her life after the books.
This collection of letters was published after her death.
