Have you ever wondered about the life of Nellie Oleson behind the persona in the Little House books? This fictionalized book looks at Nellie Oleson, but with the stories told from Nellie’s perspective. Readers get a new insight into the life of Nellie, along with some of the other friends from Walnut Grove.
While Nellie was the villain in the Little House books, with this story told from Nellie’s perspective – including many of the events told in On the Banks of Plum Creek that were from Laura’s perspective only – seeing Nellie’s side makes readers ponder about why Nellie behaved the way she did, and if she was really that awful.
