Karen Grassle is an American actress and writer best known for her iconic role as Caroline Ingalls, the strong, nurturing matriarch on the beloved television series Little House on the Prairie. Grassle’s passion for acting began during her college years at H. Sophie Newcomb Memorial College, the women’s college affiliated with Tulane University. She later transferred to the University of California, Berkeley, and earned a degree in English before receiving a Fulbright Scholarship to study at the prestigious London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA).
