Johnny Cash guest starred as a corrupt preacher, Caleb Hodgekiss, to tries and take advantage of the town of Walnut Grove after Reverend Alden becomes ill. Caleb plans to steal the collection offerings for himself.
Cash appeared in the episode The Collection in the third season of the show. The episode also guest starred his wife, June Carter Cash, who portrayed Caleb’s wife on the show.
