Before becoming a star on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Kyle Richards had a successful early career as a child actress — including a memorable recurring role on Little House on the Prairie.
Kyle Richards’ Role as Alicia Sanderson Edwards
Kyle Richards first appeared on Little House on the Prairie in Season 2, in the episode “Remember Me (Part One),” which aired in 1975. She portrayed Alicia Sanderson, a young girl whose life changes after the death of her mother.

Kyle continued to appear in multiple episodes through Season 8, with her final appearance in “A Promise to Keep.”
A Recurring Character Across Multiple Seasons
Kyle Richards’ portrayal of Alicia added warmth and family spirit to the show. Her character’s bond with Mr. Edwards became a significant part of his story arc, showing his growth from a rough-edged frontiersman to a loving and devoted father.
Although she was never part of the main credits cast, Kyle Richards’ recurring role made her a familiar and beloved face for Little House fans throughout the mid-to-late seasons.
The Richards Family Connection to Little House
Kyle Richards wasn’t the only member of her family to appear on Little House on the Prairie. Her older sister, Kim Richards, also guest-starred in the first season as Olga Nordstrom, a young girl born with a leg length difference that Charles Ingalls helps correct with a specially made shoe.
Both sisters’ early roles helped launch their acting careers long before their later fame in reality television.
