Who Played Miss Beadle on Little House on the Prairie
Although not considered one of the main stars of Little House on the Prairie, the Walnut Grove teacher Miss Beadle was a popular character and appeared on many of the early episodes of the show.
Eva Beadle, later Eva Beadle-Simms was played by Charlotte Stewart. She appeared on a total of 45 episodes, primarly appearing as the teacher in Walnut Grove’s one-room schoolhouse. She was a beloved teacher on the show over many seasons and was a mainstay for the characters at a school.
When she married on the show, she became Mrs. Beadle-Simms, and when she had a baby boy, Caroline was upset because she wanted a son too. Mrs. Beadle-Simms eventually left Walnut Grove for her husband to find work, last appearing in the episode I’ll be Waving as you Drive Away (Part Two).
