Willie Oleson was a central character on Little House on the Prairie for many seasons. But what many people don’t realize is that Willie was played by Johnathan Gilbert. He was the adopted sister of Melissa Gilbert, who portrayed Laura Ingalls on the show.
Willie Oleson was a recurring character on the show, including two of the final 2 hour television movies that made up season ten of the show. After Little House on the Prairie ended, he did not continue acting. And according to Melissa Gilbert’s autobiography, Johnathan cut off contact with her for unknown reasons. He now works in finance.
