Why was Eliza Ingalls played by the same actress as Alice Garvey?
Fans of Little House on the Prairie television show know the character of Alice Garvey well, which was portrayed by Hersha Parady for three seasons on the television show – seasons 4, 5 and 6. But the actress also portrayed another character earlier in the show which many people do not realize.
In the episode Journey Into the Spring: Part 1, Hersha Parady also portrays the character of Eliza Ingalls, the only episode in which she played this character (not to be confused with Almanzo’s sister, Eliza Wilder).
Many television series utilize the same actors and actresses in multiple roles throughout a series run, and occasionally some of those end up portraying a main character later in the series, which is exactly what happened here.
